The Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital is a 443-bed acute, long-term care facility serving the elderly and disabled from throughout Maryland. While Levindale is a Jewish facility that follows Jewish dietary laws and religious observances, it accepts patients of all faiths and provides chaplains of all religions. The facility is divided into a geriatric center with 172 long-term care beds, 20 sub-acute beds and 26 beds for Dementia care and a hospital, with 120 beds including 20 gero-psychiatric, 80 complex medicine and 20 acute rehabilitation. There are six physicians on staff and more than 600 nurses and nursing assistants.
Specialty services at Levindale include Adult Day Services, Consultation Services, Eden Alternative, Hospice Services, Mental Health Care Services, Neighborhood Model, Pain and Palliative Program, Project LIGHT, Psychiatric Services, Rehabilitation Services, Religious Observances, Senior House Calls, Specialty Hospital-Sub Acute, Therapeutic Recreation, Ventilator Services and Wound Care.
