Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, founded in 1866, is a full-service medical and teaching hospital serving residents in the Baltimore area. There are 144 doctors and over 1,000 nurses on staff. In one recent year, more than 73,000 patients visited the emergency room and the hospital admitted 26,279 patients. Sinai Hospital continues to work to improve its facilities. The Cancer Center Expansion added a new structure with 15 infusion bays overlooking a garden. The hospital also recently renovated three operating rooms.
